COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – The parent company of the Oticon, Sonic, and Bernafon brand of hearing aids, William Demant, announced this week that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Philips. The agreement will “bring Philips-branded solutions to hearing healthcare”.
According to the press release, the new partnership will leverage William Demant’s leading role in hearing aid technology and Philips’ global brand presence in healthcare. The solutions developed through the agreement will “present unique opportunities for hearing care professionals in an ever-evolving market.”

Update on Philips Hearing Aid Brand Launch — 5/30/19
Several months after announcing the partnership with Philips, Demant announced the global launch of Philips HearLink hearing aids in April 2019. A few weeks following the launch announcement, it was learned the Philips hearing aids became available for sale at Costco stores in the US, beginning in May 2019.
